Glossary
Basis point (bps) : A hundredth of a percent. 100 bps = 1%. Slippage is set in basis points.
Break-even : The price at which selling a position gives back exactly what it cost, every fee of its buys and of the sale included. See Exits and protections.
Budget : The SOL a bot trades with.
Cashback : The share of your own fees that comes back to you: 25%. See Cashback and referrals.
Cost per trade : What one trade, a buy or a sell, costs on a coin, all fees included, at a given trade size. A bot pays it on its buy and again on its sale.
DCA (dollar-cost averaging) : Buying in several slices as the price falls, so the average price goes down. The DCA Scalper adds bigger slices as it falls, then sells everything once the average is in profit.
Demo bot : A bot that trades virtual SOL at live prices, with the coin's real trading costs. See Demo and real bots.
Drawdown : The largest fall of a bot's value from a high point.
Grid : A ladder of buy and sell prices across a range. Each step buys low and sells one step higher.
Jito : A service that lands Solana transactions privately, in bundles. Tradyn sends swaps through it with an anti-sandwich marker.
Jupiter : Solana's main swap aggregator. It finds the route between SOL and a coin across pools, and provides a reference price.
Liquidity : The money in a coin's pools. The thinner it is, the more each trade moves the price.
Market cap (MCap) : A coin's price times its supply.
Max loss : The loss, in % of its budget, at which a bot stops and returns its SOL.
Mint : A coin's address on Solana. On Tradyn, a coin's page lives at tradyn.si/app/coins/ followed by its mint.
P&L : Profit and loss. On Tradyn, always net of every fee.
Pool : A smart contract holding two tokens (here, a coin and SOL) that anyone can swap against. Its price moves with every swap.
Price impact : How much your own trade moves the price, depending on its size and the pool's liquidity.
Real bot : A bot that trades your SOL, from its own wallet.
Realized / unrealized : Realized P&L is locked in by a sale. Unrealized P&L is on coins still held, at the current price.
Private key : The key of one wallet. Your main wallet's can be exported to open it in Phantom or Solflare. Whoever has it controls that wallet. See Wallet keys.
Recovery phrase : The 24 words all your Tradyn wallets come from. Whoever has them controls your funds. See Wallet keys.
Referral : The share of your friends' fees you earn when they sign up with your link: 20%.
Round trip cost : What a buy plus a sell costs on a coin: twice its cost per trade. A bot only earns when the price moves more than this.
Rug pull : When the people behind a coin sell their supply at once or pull its liquidity, leaving holders unable to sell at a fair price.
Safety buy : An extra, bigger buy a DCA bot makes when the price keeps falling.
Sandwich : A trade placed just before yours and another just after, to profit from the price move your trade causes. Tradyn's swaps are sent with protection against it.
Scalping : Trading small, frequent price moves.
Slippage : The difference between the price a swap was quoted and the price it fills at. Each swap carries a maximum: beyond it, the swap fails.
SOL : Solana's own currency. Bots trade coins against SOL, and every amount on Tradyn is in SOL.
Stop-loss : A price at which a position is sold to limit a loss.
Take-profit : A price at which a position is sold to lock in a profit.
Token-2022 : Solana's newer token program. Its extensions can give an issuer powers such as taxing transfers, freezing or moving tokens. See Coin risks.
