FAQ
Bots
Can I lose money?
Yes. A bot follows rules, it doesn't predict the future: if a coin keeps falling, a bot can lose part or all of its budget, and a coin can become impossible to sell. Every preset has a stop-loss and a maximum loss, and the replay shows how a plan would have traded before you start. Only put in a bot what you can afford to lose. See Coin risks and the Risk Disclosure.
Does a good replay mean the bot will make money?
No. The replay shows how the plan would have traded over the last 24 hours, 7 or 30 days, with the coin's real costs. Markets change, and a running bot acts on every price while the replay steps through candles. See The replay.
Which strategy should I pick?
The coin's page marks DCA Scalper as Recommended and starts on it: it's the one we suggest starting with. It averages down, so it suits a coin you'd happily hold through a drop. Otherwise it depends on how the coin moves: Grid Scalper for coins moving sideways, Dip Sniper for volatile coins that bounce back, Momentum Rider for trending coins. Compare them on the coin's page: the replay and the cost per trade update as you switch. See Strategies.
What's the minimum budget?
0.05 SOL. A real bot also needs 0.01 SOL more for its network fees, which comes back when it stops.
Is there a maximum budget?
Not for demo bots. While real trading is in beta, a bot trading real SOL takes 1 SOL at most: the coin's page says so under Budget.
Does my bot keep trading when I close the app?
Yes. Bots run on Tradyn's servers around the clock, whether the app is open or not, until you stop them or one of their exits ends them.
Can I change a bot's settings after launching it?
No. A bot keeps the settings it was launched with. To change them, stop the bot and launch a new one.
Why isn't my bot trading?
Most of the time, the market hasn't met its rules yet: a Dip Sniper waits for a dip, a Momentum Rider for a breakout, a grid for the price to reach its next step, a bot in a trade for its target or its stop. A bot also holds a sale that wouldn't cover its costs: its target is never under break-even. Above the chart, the bot's page says what it waits for and how far the price is from it, for example Buys if the price drops to $1.0425 (-3.00%). Check that line, its status, its levels on the chart, and the Activity tab of its page. See What the bot waits for.
What does "Needs attention" mean?
The bot paused itself after 6 failed trades in a row, or after an error. The reason shows next to its status. You can Resume it or Stop it. See Follow and stop a bot.
How many bots can I run?
As many as you like, each with its own budget. Real-SOL launches are limited to 10 a minute.
Money
Who holds my funds?
Your SOL sits in Solana wallets created only for you: your main wallet, and one wallet per real bot. Never in a pool shared with other users. Tradyn keeps their keys, encrypted, so your bots can trade on their own, and you can export your recovery phrase to open them in Phantom or Solflare. See How your funds are protected.
Are my bot's profits reinvested?
No. A bot's orders are sized from its budget, so what its trades make beyond it stays set aside in its wallet. You can send it to your main wallet anytime with Take profits, while the bot keeps trading; the rest comes back when you stop it.
How do I get my money back?
Stop your bots: their coins are sold and their SOL returns to your main wallet. Profits can come back earlier, without stopping, with Take profits. Then withdraw to an address saved in your address book; a new address becomes usable 24 hours after you add it. See Withdrawals.
Why do I have to wait 24 hours before withdrawing to a new address?
So that someone who steals your login can't send your SOL to their own address straight away. The delay gives you time to notice a new address, remove it and sign out everywhere.
What does it cost?
A 1% fee on each trade, paid inside the swap, plus the pool and network costs every Solana trade pays. 25% of every fee comes back to you as cashback. There's no subscription, and no Tradyn fee on deposits, withdrawals or claims. See Fees and trading costs.
Why does the Wallet page show "Demo mode" instead of a deposit address?
Deposits open together with real trading. Until then, bots trade virtual SOL. See Demo and real bots.
What happens to my coins if a token can't be sold?
When you stop a bot, it tries to sell three times. If the coin still can't be sold, the bot returns its SOL anyway, and the unsold coins stay in its wallet. You can reach them by exporting your recovery phrase.
I sent a token other than SOL to my Tradyn address. Is it lost?
No, the address is yours, but the app only shows SOL. Export your recovery phrase and import it in Phantom or Solflare to reach that token.
Rewards
When do I get my cashback?
It's credited as soon as each real trade is confirmed, and you can claim it to your wallet from 0.01 SOL. See Cashback and referrals.
Do demo bots earn rewards?
No. Rewards come from the fees of real trades only.
Can I see who I invited?
Yes: the Referrals tab in the Rewards page's history lists your friends by the code in their own invite link, with when they joined, their volume and what each one earned you. See Who you invited.
A friend invited me but I signed up without their link.
Add their code on the Rewards page, under Were you invited?, during your first week and before your first real bot.
Account and security
Can I connect my Phantom wallet?
No. You sign in with your email, and Tradyn creates your wallets. You can still open them in Phantom by importing your recovery phrase.
Is the app available in my language?
In English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Chinese. It opens in your browser's language when it's one of them; pick another in your account menu › Account › Language. See Language.
I think someone got into my account. What do I do?
- Open your account menu › Account and press Sign out everywhere. It also cancels a wallet keys request on its way.
- On the Wallet page, remove any address you didn't add.
- Secure the email account you sign in with: change its password, turn on two-factor authentication.
Withdrawals only go to addresses saved 24 hours earlier, and your wallet keys are only shown 24 hours after they're requested: that's your time to act.
Will Tradyn ever ask for my recovery phrase or my private key?
Never. Anyone who asks for them is trying to steal your funds.
