Demo and real bots
Every bot is either a demo bot or a real bot. You choose with the Mode switch on the coin's page, when the demo is offered.
| Demo | Real | |
|---|---|---|
| Money | Virtual SOL | Your SOL |
| Prices | Live market prices | Live market prices |
| Trading costs | The coin's measured costs, simulated | Paid on-chain with every trade |
| Wallet | None: nothing is sent on-chain | Its own Solana wallet |
| Cashback and referrals | None | On every trade |
| When it stops | Its position is closed virtually | Its coins are sold, its SOL returns to your wallet |
Demo bots
A demo bot runs the same strategy as a real bot, on the same live prices, and pays the coin's real trading costs as measured on the live route: the Tradyn fee, pool fees, price impact and network fees. It's the closest thing to the real result without risking anything.
Demo results are always marked as virtual, so they never pass for real gains:
- a Demo badge on the bot and (demo) in the browser tab's title,
- Includes demo bots: their SOL is virtual on your Portfolio,
- Demo P&L in the status bar while you only have demo bots,
- DEMO · VIRTUAL SOL printed on their P&L cards.
Demo bots earn no cashback or referral rewards.
The demo can be switched off
Tradyn offers the demo while it makes sense for its users: to everyone, or to some accounts only. If the Mode switch isn't on the coin's page, the demo isn't open to your account: every new bot trades real SOL, and your running demo bots are stopped. The replay on each coin's page stays available.
Real bots
A real bot trades your SOL from its own wallet. When you launch it:
- Its budget plus a 0.01 SOL reserve move from your main wallet to the bot's wallet. The reserve pays the bot's network fees, and what's left of it comes back when the bot stops.
- The bot shows Funding until that transfer lands on-chain, usually within seconds, then Running.
- When you stop it, it sells its coins, closes its token account (its small rent deposit comes back too) and returns all its SOL to your main wallet.
To launch a real bot you need:
- SOL in your Tradyn wallet: at least the budget plus the reserve,
- a budget of 1 SOL at most while real trading is in beta,
- to tick the box confirming you understand the risks and accept the Terms of Service, having read the Risk Disclosure.
No deposit address yet?
Deposits open together with real trading. If the Wallet page shows Demo mode instead of an address, real trading isn't open yet: you can use demo bots meanwhile.
Before the bot starts, Tradyn runs a few more checks on the coin and its costs. See Launch a bot.
