Your first bot
Every bot starts from a coin. You set it up on the coin's page, read what it will do and what it costs, then launch it. It takes a couple of minutes.
1. Pick a coin
Open Discover (or press New bot) and pick a coin from the lists: Trending, Majors or Stocks. You can also search by name, symbol or address.
2. Set up the bot
The coin's page opens with its chart and, on the right (below the chart on a phone), the Launch a bot panel:
- Strategy: DCA Scalper (marked Recommended, and selected to start with), Grid Scalper, Dip Sniper or Momentum Rider. Each comes with a one-line description and what it's best for. See Strategies.
- Mode: Demo (virtual SOL, real market prices) or Real (real SOL from your wallet), when the demo is offered.
- Budget: how much SOL the bot trades with, 0.05 SOL at least, and 1 SOL at most for a real bot while real trading is in beta. Quick picks: 0.1, 0.5, 1 and 5 SOL.
- Risk: Prudent, Balanced or Aggressive.
3. Read the plan and its costs
Before launching, check three things:
- The plan: a few lines saying where the bot buys, where it sells and when it stops.
- Cost per trade: what one trade costs on this coin, all fees included, measured live for your trade size. A bot pays it on its buy and again on its sale. Wait until it says measured: the launch button waits for it too.
- The replay under the chart: your plan over the last 24 hours, 7 or 30 days, with the coin's real costs. It shows what would have happened, not what will.
If the coin has warnings, they're listed under About this coin. Read them. See Coin risks.
4. Launch
- In demo, press Launch demo bot.
- With real SOL, tick the box confirming you understand the risks and accept the Terms of Service, then press Launch with … SOL.
On a phone, the same button sits in the bar above the menu at the bottom of the screen, with your strategy, risk and budget: no need to scroll down to the panel.
The bot's page opens. A real bot shows Funding while its budget moves to its own wallet, then Running.
5. Follow it, stop it anytime
The bot's page shows its position, its trades and its P&L, net of every fee. Your Portfolio gathers all your bots.
To stop a bot, press Stop, then Stop and sell: it sells what it holds at market price and, for a real bot, returns all its SOL to your wallet. See Follow and stop a bot.
Before your first real bot
- Start with the demo when it's offered: it's free, it uses live prices and the coin's real trading costs, and nothing can be lost.
- Deposit SOL to your Tradyn wallet: your budget plus 0.01 SOL, a reserve that pays the bot's network fees and comes back when it stops. See Wallet and deposits.
- Only put in a bot what you can afford to lose.
