Custom settings
Every plan can be fine-tuned. Under The plan on the coin's page, press Customize: every setting of the strategy appears, filled with the preset's values. As soon as you change one, the plan shows Customized. Reset to preset brings the preset's values back.
Changing the strategy, the risk level, the budget or the coin resets your custom settings.
Custom settings can remove protections
You can turn off the stop-loss or the max loss, or set targets the coin's costs can't meet. The app warns you when a target sits under what a buy plus a sale cost, but it doesn't stop you. Read Exits and protections first.
Grid settings
Grid Scalper uses these:
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Step spacing | Equal % steps: each step is the same percentage apart (the default). Equal price steps: each step is the same price apart. |
| Range low / Range high | The bottom and top of the grid, in SOL per token (the app shows the dollar value under each). |
| Number of steps | How many slices the range is cut into, from 2 to 50. The budget is split evenly between them. |
| Max slippage | The most a swap may fill away from its quote, in basis points (100 bps = 1%). |
| Stop-loss | Sell everything and stop if the price falls this far under the range. |
| Stop after losing | The bot's max loss, in % of its budget. |
Switches: Follow breakouts (move the grid up when the price leaves the range upward while nothing is held), Stop-loss, Max loss.
Scalper settings
Dip Sniper, Momentum Rider and DCA Scalper are all the same scalper strategy with different settings:
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Enter a position | Right away, On a dip (a drop from the recent high) or On a breakout (a rise above the recent low). |
| Entry trigger | The size of the dip or the breakout, in %. |
| Measured over | The window the recent high or low is taken from, in minutes. |
| First order | The SOL spent on the first buy of each cycle, Tradyn fee included. |
| Max slippage | As for the grid, in basis points. |
| Take-profit | Sell the position when it's up this much. |
| Stop-loss | Sell the position when it's down this much. |
| Trailing starts at | Once the position is up this much, follow its highest price… |
| Trailing distance | …and sell when the price falls back this far from it. |
| Break-even stop at | Once the position is up this much, its stop moves to break-even. |
| Close position after | Sell the position after this many minutes, whatever the price. |
| Safety buy every drop of | Add a slice each time the price falls this far under the last buy. |
| Safety buy size | Each slice is this many times bigger than the previous one. |
| Max safety buys | How many slices may be added. |
| Pause between cycles | How long the bot waits after selling before looking for a new entry, in seconds. |
| Stop after losses in a row | End the bot after this many losing trades in a row. |
| Stop after losing | The bot's max loss, in % of its budget. |
Switches: Take-profit, Stop-loss, Trailing take-profit, Break-even stop, Time limit, Safety buys, Loss streak stop, Max loss and Repeat cycles (start a new cycle after each exit; off, the bot stops once its first position is sold).
Rules
The app refuses settings that can't work, and says which one under the plan:
- A scalper needs a take-profit or a trailing take-profit, or both.
- The first order plus every safety buy must fit in the budget.
- The range high must sit above the range low.
- Each setting stays within its limits, for example a stop-loss between 0.2% and 95%, or a max slippage between 0.1% and 30%.
- With real SOL, max slippage can't exceed 10% (1,000 bps).
Targets under the costs of a buy and a sale
If a take-profit, a trailing start or a grid step is smaller than what a buy plus a sale cost on the coin (twice its cost per trade), the panel warns: Targets under what a buy plus a sale cost (…% each): the bot holds until a sale pays its costs back, so it trades less often than set.
Bots never take a profit under break-even. A target set lower doesn't make them sell at a loss: it makes them wait.
